How can I make my lipstick last longer?

The other day I bought a Jemma Kidd lipstick for like $18. Its the prettiest color, a pale pink. I usually apply a lip balm, clear lip liner and then apply the lipstick. It looks good but as the day goes on the color seems to change and if I try to reapply it gets flakey.

I dont want to buy another lipstick, I wanna know how I can get this lipstick to work for me. Im in high school and I cant really drag around lip liner, lip balm and a million other products and reapply them constantly. But I want to look pretty.. how can I make my lipstick last longer? How can I make my lipstick last longer?
apply first coat.

blot.

apply second coat.

use tissue. it works.

also translucent powder applied lightly will seal it.

and the benefit she-lac is awesome! but priceyHow can I make my lipstick last longer?
Apply it in this order:

Lip Balm (Vanilla Softlips works best)

Lip Gloss (Any good kind you like)

Lipstick (Any good kind you like)

But what really works is this:

Petroleum jelly.

Put a thin layer of it on your lips. Then thick lipgloss and lipstick. Works better than lip balm!

Something extra: (don't know if you need it or not, but really works, so give it a try!)

If you want your perfume to last longer, you can also use petroleum jelly. Rub some on your wrists then spray on that area. Works every time! =D
get the same color of lip pencial and fill in your lips with it then apply ur lip stick and then put a gloss over it all so it helps to peel away the dead skin on ur lips so just take any lip balm and crush it up and mix it up with suger and put it on ur lips and rub it around then wash it off u can do that like every other day
Take a lip liner in a similar color and apply all over your lips before the lipstick and it'll have something to stick to. Lip balm is definitely not going to help the staying power, so you can also try applying that after you're done. Good luck!
instead of lining ur lip with a lip pencil, shade in ur whole lip with it.

then put ur lip stick over it and then u can put on your choice of lip gloss.

the wax from the lip liner make the lipstick stay on longer
When you are applying your foundation, apply a little bit to your lips.

Then apply the lip liner, lipstick and then the lip gloss.
A really good make up sealer is Benefit She Laq. It makes your make up waterproof and smudgeproof. I'm not sure if it will stop the lipstick from flaking.
Put clear lipgloss on over your lipstick, hon. Or go buy one of those longwear shades and only use the clear stuff over your Jemma Kidd lipstick. That stuff does wonders!
you can either buy a lip stain or apply it in several layers with your finger
Apply lipgloss over the lipstick. You only need to do it once.
use a primer or fill your lips in with lip liner and then apply lipstick
go on google and look for better lipstick
only use it once a day.
You can even put concealer or Sally Hansen's ';Lip Grip'; before your lipstick to give it something to adhere to.

You can then use a sealer (Benefit's She-Laq is great!) on top, and it should last all day.

Those are the steps I use when doing bridal makeup.
